On August 6th, the danish urban fashion brand Samsøe Samsøe hosted the Golden Hour(s) dinner at Copenhagen Fashion Week, celebrating the enchanting moments just after sunrise and just before sunset. This fully immersive experience featured a stunning light installation by Philip Fredericia Sacht, which changed colors throughout the evening to reflect the nuances of the golden hours. Complemented by the spatial scents crafted by Emmanuel Martini DC and sound design by Adidaddi (Nora Benjnouh), the atmosphere evolved beautifully with each sequence. Chef Mati Pichci prepared a visually stunning dinner, with each course echoing shades of yellow, aligning perfectly with the theme of the night.

Golden Hour(s) by Samsøe Samsøe is a sensory experience that captured the tranquility and beauty of light. The moments just after sunrise and before sunset, filled with rich red and golden tones, evoke reflection, peace, and the fleeting nature of time. This event served as a metaphor for transient beauty, offering clarity and inspiration while highlighting life's ephemeral moments.

The immersive SS25 dinner experience showcased a unique collaboration among creators from various mediums, utilizing light, sound, and scent to draw inspiration from the Golden Hour(s). The design concept was rooted in urban planning, transforming public spaces into community gathering points that thrive during these magical moments.

About the scented experience

For the event, Emmanuel designed two distinctive scents that encapsulate the essence of the golden hours:

Morning Golden Hour: This scent evokes the freshness and vitality of a new day, featuring Linden blossom combined with Petrichor—the earthy aroma that emerges after rain, adding a fresh and natural quality.

Evening Golden Hour: Transitioning smoothly from day to night, this scent embodies warmth and sensuality. It includes sweet and succulent Peach Fruit, lending a ripe, juicy quality, balanced by the warm, floral touch of Ylang Ylang, which adds depth without overpowering the composition.

Together, these scents beautifully captured the essence of the golden hours, enhancing the overall experience of the evening.
